The end is nigh, but it’s not over yet!
Where has the time gone? We are near the end of March and the end of the ski season is less than a couple of weeks away.
It’s been a strange winter with prolonged periods of clear, fine weather interspersed by very occasional snow falls, and whilst many resorts have suffered particularly poor snow conditions, we have been lucky in Zermatt because of the low temperatures and the altitude of the ski runs – our ski area is the highest in Europe.
That said, it’s not over yet. A recent snowfall means Zermatt and Cervinia’s pistes are currently in excellent condition, and some life has been put into the off-piste, backcountry and heli-ski possibilities, for which Zermatt is so well known.
