Work on the new 3S lift in Zermatt is progressing well.

A large Kamov helicopter has been used to take parts and building materials to the top station. This has included the cables as well as electro-mechanical and various other material.

Talstation on Trockener Steg
The excavation for the foundations has been completed. Around 170 m3 of foundations have been reinforced and concreted and more rock excavation work started.

On the route
There will be a number of pylons along the way. The excavation for the first foundation base has been completed. Next it will be reinforced and then concreted.

Due to the exposed location of the third pylon location, the works there are a little more demanding. An excavator is working its way through the ice first then the rock.
