Visitors to Zermatt this season will be able to enjoy dynamic lift pass prices during low season dates. The system will work in the same way as flexi-pricing for airlines and hotels.
This is another great reason to visit Zermatt this season – especially with children. Children under 9 years old already ski for free in Zermatt with the free Wolli Card, and those aged from 9 to 16 receive a 50% discount.
Zermatt Bergbahnen have confirmed that factors ‘such as supply, demand and time of purchase’ will be included in the price calculations.
It’s very easy to book your lift tickets online in advance for your ski holiday in Zermatt. Simply log on via your computer or smartphone and pick from the very large choice of passes, so that you don’t waste time waiting at the ticket desk.
Easy Skicard
Another great value alternative is to load points onto an Easy Skicard. Points are deducted from your Easy SkiCard account each time you use a lift and the more points you load onto your card the better the discount you get.
The maximum daily charge is CHF90 and points are valid for two years from the date of issue (although can only be used in the winter season).
The table below shows how the discount changes depending on how much you spend:
