[Survey] 38% Of Skiers Have Yet To See The Matterhorn

A new survey from Matterhorn Chalets shows that 38% of skiers and snowboarders have been deprived of a view of the Matterhorn in Zermatt – one of world’s most iconic mountains.

A large minority have never seen the Matterhorn

“While we were delighted to see that 62% of those responding have been lucky enough to see the Matterhorn, we felt awful for the large minority who’ve never had the chance to see this magnificent mountain,” said Matterhorn Chalets owner, Ed Mannix.

“If the closest you’ve come to seeing the Matterhorn is admiring a box of Toblerone, you really are missing out.”

World class skiing comes at a price

“We appreciate that Zermatt is not the cheapest ski resort. World-class skiing and guaranteed snow do come at a price,” Mannix admitted.

#SeeTheMatt in December 2018

“However, we want as many people as possible to be able to fulfil their dreams and see the Matterhorn and Zermatt. That’s why we’ve created our specially discounted #SeeTheMatt week in mid-December,” revealed Mannix.

For the week commencing 15 December 2018, Matterhorn Chalets are offering their award-winning Chalet Ulysse on a catered basis at specially reduced rates.

The chalet can accommodate up to 12 guests and is available from CHF 9000.

The perfect opportunity to see the Matterhorn for the first time

“If you want to see the Matterhorn for the first time this is the perfect opportunity, as Zermatt’s snow record in December is excellent,” said Mannix.

Beware though: a separate survey on Facebook revealed that 75% of those who have seen the Matterhorn would like do so again. A ski holiday in Zermatt can be very addictive!
