Air Zermatt Heliport Renovated

Although most of Air Zermatt’s helicopters remained on the group during the lockdown in spring 2020, they kept themselves busy.

Air Zermatt used the time to renovate their heliport, adding a new visitor centre, kitchen and office space.

Renovated visitor centre

The visitor centre has comfortable seating, entertainment and information facilities all located at the the heart of their heliport.

The new visitor centre includes a shop, café with docking stations. It has an open, light design with panoramic windows offering superb views of the helipad and the chance to see helicopters take-off and land.

Waiting room before flights

It will be the waiting room before flights and passengers and visitors alike will be able to view a range of facts and figures will be displayed on the windows with videos about Air Zermatt shown on screens.

The employee kitchen and office space was also renovated at the same time, plus there’s now a VIP lounge.

Air Zermatt hope that the new outdoor seating will encourage people to drop by the heliport and watch the action and bustle.
