In October 2024, the MICHELIN Guide confirmed that ten hotels in Zermatt have been awarded ‘Michelin Keys’.
A ‘Michelin Key’ is akin to the ‘star’ awarded to restaurants but is instead awarded to the most outstanding hotels in Switzerland.
The MICHELIN Guide now includes more than 5000 hotels around the world. Each has been reviewed by the Michelin team, considering five categories:
- architecture and interior design
- quality and consistency of service
- personality and character
- value for money
- the overall guest experience
