Zermatt operates a fleet of over twenty snow groomers. They work through the night as soon as the slopes close to ensure that the 200 kilometres of pistes are in perfect condition every morning.

Take an exclusive snow groomer ride

Zermatt Bergbahnen are offering the chance to take an exclusive snow groomer ride and see the team in action.

From the passenger seat, you can see exactly how an 11-tonne snow groomer, with up to 490hp, does its work.

The drivers are constantly adjusting and using the vehicle’s technology to tackle every curve, every dip and every obstacle along the way.

Bookings via our concierge service

Sessions start at 4pm to 5pm at different points on the mountain, depending on the day of the week, and take four hours.

Spaces are limited as there is only room for one person per snow groomer, and you must have a lift pass.  A session costs CHF150.
