Zermatt has won yet another award – this time as the ‘Most Popular Ski Resort in Switzerland’.
The poll was conducted by the online travel portal Kayak.ch. They analysed user ratings made via their website, which users visit for searches for flights, hotels and package holidays.
Most Popular Winter Resort
The results showed that Zermatt is the most popular winter sports resort in Switzerland for the second year of the Kayak survey.
Swiss ski fans put Zermatt on the top of the podium this winter, ahead of Davos and St Moritz in the eastern Swiss canton of Graubünden.

Another award for Zermatt
This is another in a string of awards and recognition for Zermatt. In November 2016, the resort won ‘Best Ski Resort’ in a survey of 50,000 skiers and snowboarders organised by Mountain Management Consulting.
In September 2016 the Swiss newspaper ‘Handelszeitung’ selected Zermatt as the ‘Best Winter Selection’, ahead of Lech Zurs and Courchevel.
Also in September 2016, National Geographic North America selected Zermatt in 3rd place on their list of the ‘World’s Best 25 Ski Towns’.
