The Telegraph has reported that Switzerland has recently been named the safest country in Europe to visit this summer.
Switzerland is on the British FCO ‘safe’ list of destinations that don’t require self-isolation on return.
In fact, no EU nation is applying quarantine to holidaymakers returning from Switzerland.
Covid numbers are low
Coronavirus numbers in the land-locked country have been remarkably low.
With a population of fewer than nine million people, cases have totalled around 35,000 to date (compared to the UK’s 300,000) and deaths have remained below 10 per week since mid-June.
