“The perfect ski resort”

He visited the iconic Swiss resort for the first time in 1983 and fell in love with the resort immediately.

“I love skiing and I believe Zermatt is the perfect ski resort, with more than a dozen or so peaks towering at 4,000 metres high in the surrounding area.”

Hennu Stall for Après

Taylor loves the fact that you can ski into Cervinia, as well as all the apres ski options. He’s a fan of the Hennu Stall on the way back from the slopes:

“It’s a good place to go after coming down from the slopes. There’s usually a band playing and around 400 people “going crazy”. It’s very lively and a great place to hang out.”

Superb choice of restaurants

As far as eating out is concerned the former Queen guitarist is impressed:

“Zermatt boasts some wonderful restaurants – indeed I would even hazard a guess that it’s got the best mountain restaurants anywhere in the world.”

He’s a fan of Fluhalp, for the magnificent Swiss fondues, but his favourite restaurant is Chez Vrony and it’s “wonderful views of the Matterhorn”.
